1. The Peanut Corporation of America

2. The Meat Packing Beef Recall with Hallmark/Westland
In two thousand and eight, Hallmark/Westland chose to recall more than one hundred and forty million pounds of beef. There was a huge portion of this meat that was being sent to school lunch programs.
The incident started when the Humane Society of The United States started circulating a video showing very sick cows that workers were including in their slaughter. This was a practice that the US government had previously banned.
The company, therefore, chose to make one of the largest product recalls in history.
3. Product Recall Examples from Firestone Tires Made by Ford
Ford needed to recall around six and a half million tires back in two thousand, which cost the company around three billion dollars.
The faulty products brought complaints from many thousands of people. They were also linked to many injuries and deaths. This incident is an example of how important product lawsuits can be in forcing companies to issue recalls.
4. The Recall of the Arthritis Medication Vioxx
Vioxx recalled its arthritis medication after the results from a medical trial were published. The study made many connections between those who used the drug and the health conditions that they developed, such as cardiovascular problems, heart attacks, and strokes.
5. The Dell Battery Recall
Dell needed to recall around four million of its lithium-ion batteries after many consumers experienced issues with overheating. In many situations, the batteries that overheated caused fires or electrical problems.
Many organizations and people, such as the Consumer Product Safety Commission, considered the computer manufacturer’s response to be quick and effective. The company issued the recall only one month after hearing the first reports that one of their laptops had exploded.
