Get Excited About These Upcoming Games Due in 2022

As we progress through 2022, it can be a scary prospect for some people as time seems to zip past at an ever quickening pace. However, for gamers, the advancement of years is brilliant news. This is because with each passing year comes the potential for them getting their hands on even more quality games. Looking back at 2021, it was a great year for gaming, with massive hits such as the survival horror Resident Evil Village, or another stealth masterclass available with Hitman 3, plus a beloved platformer finally returned, with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

Well, 2022 looks like being another year with a bumper crop of great games available, so here’s a quick look at which ones we think you should be getting most excited about. Plus, if you feel like you want to get better at gaming, then here’s tips for how you can achieve more, and make those gaming sessions even more rewarding.

Gran Turismo 7

This PS5 exclusive racing game has got a whole plethora of petrol-heads counting down the time until its release date on 4th March. Gran Turismo 7 is (as you can probably guess) the seventh instalment in the seminal racing simulation series that probably birthed a few thousand mechanics. You see, the Gran Turismo series isn’t just your normal set of racing games. No, they’re painstakingly dedicated to delivering as realistic a racing experience as is possible.

This means thousands of virtual cars are available to be finely tuned to within an inch of their lives, to try to get as much horsepower out on the track as possible. In this version there’s rumoured to be around 420 cars in the finished game, and you can read up on every new car coming to Gran Turismo 7. However, be warned when they’re out on the racetrack, as the handling of the cars is based on reality as well, so no cartoony physics for this series. It actually takes real skill and practice to be able to masterfully burn rubber round the many courses.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Ok, technically this game isn’t upcoming, as it was released on January 28th for the Nintendo Switch, but this is such a giant release for not only the year, but for maybe the decade, that we had to talk about it. Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the latest entry in the world’s most popular video game series, and this time they’ve completely revolutionised the gameplay.

Instead of it being a turn-based role-playing game, developers Game Freak and Nintendo decided to freshen things up and made it a more free-roaming and action inclined affair. This means that gone are the turn-based battles of old. Instead it features a more fluid fighting style whenever you want to capture a Pokémon. This has breathed new life into the series that has been going since 1996.

Pokémon is so popular with fans that they revel in everything to do with the franchise, including the TV shows, clothes, and also the massive collectible card game. Speaking of card games, they can be great entertainment, and especially if you’re a lover of gambling, then they can bring hours of top enjoyment. Also, with online casinos, you don’t even have to step out of your home to enjoy them. Vegas Slots Online bring visitors the best live dealer casinos, allowing you to play all the classics, such as blackjack, baccarat, and poker. Plus, all the listed sites have a social environment, where you can even interact with other players if desired.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Anyone who’s ever had the immense pleasure of playing a LEGO video game will be over the moon to hear that in 2022, there is a new entry into the series finally being released. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was meant to be released originally back in 2020, but due to behind the scenes problems, it was delayed several times.

Two years on though, a new announcement set the final release date as 5th April, and it will also be released on every main console, as well as PC. This is brilliant news, as the LEGO games are some of the most joyous experiences anyone can have picking up a controller. The Skywalker Saga will be a platformer based upon the Disney Star Wars sequels that came out between 2015-19, so expect to be able to take control of all your favourite characters from those blockbuster movies, such as Rey and Finn.
