Activision announced on March 8th, 2018 that a new Call of Duty game was in development and would be released later that year. The title of the game was announced to be Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Treyarch, the developers of the Black Ops series, are developing the game. It is set to be released worldwide on October 12th, 2018. An alpha test was held from April 10th to the 13th in which only Playstation 4 users were able to participate in.
